This report provides an overview of the Waste Furnishings (WF) sector in 2018, based on the evidence collected through the WF Register set up by ADEME, enriched with data from sector stakeholders. For 2017, it complements partial data collected in 2018 to provide consolidated elements. For 2018, this report provides most of the items that were declared as of 30 April 2019, which will be completed in the next reporting period (starting in early 2020). A Furnishing Item (FI) is a piece of furniture and its components, whose main function is to contribute to the composition of a place of residence, trade or reception of the public. The furnishing items involved fall into one of the 11 categories defined by the regulations. The latter regulation requires market owners of furnishing items to declare to the National Waste Furnishing Register, on the one hand, the marketing of their FIs on the French market and, on the other hand, the collection and treatment of WF. This document is the 5th edition of a report published annually by ADEME and serves to populate the table of indicators used to monitor the sector. A two-page infographic presenting in a visual manner the main elements to remember for the year 2018 is also available for download on the ADEME website. |
