Critical metals are mostly imported by European companies. However, many products imported in Europe contain these metals. Therefore, these products- at the end of their life - become a potential source for critical metals recovery.
The current reintroduction rate of these metals in the production cycle is very low. Public authorities wish to foster French expertise in critical metals recycling.
